Step by Step
Each stage introduces a new set of sounds with increasing complexity, starting with learning the basic alphabet letter-sounds in Stage 1 (like A, M, T). Your child only needs to know 4 letters to read the first book, making Wacky Tat books the earliest books your child can read on their own

Activate, Build, Consolidate
Each stage contains three types of books:
- A - Activate books introduce one new sound at a time.
- B - Build books review sounds progressively as they are taught.
- C - Consolidate books offer practice with all the stage’s sounds and introduce useful common words.
